Lodging was a very nice 5 bedroom house, each with it’s own bathroom, one of the nicest places we have ever stayed in, at the Coolfont Mountainside Development just outside of Berkeley Springs. We attempted to ride bikes on the Western Maryland RR Trail at Hancock, MD, just across the Potomac River, but rain ruined those plans. We were able the next day to take in the Apple Butter Festival in the town with dozens of food vendors and hundreds of people milling around. We had a nice meal one evening at the big hotel in the middle of town.
