We arrived Thursday evening at various times after work and school was over. Spent Thursday evening eating supper, (soup and bread prepared by Mom and Dad), catching up, and divvying out rooms.

Friday was Mom’s birthday. Pancake breakfast followed by games and other indoor activities due to light rain and overcast weather. Several checked out the cemetery across the street. Lunch at the house of taco salad, followed by the group bike ride on the GAP trail. Afternoon rest and games, then dinner at a nearby Mexican restaurant as part of Mom’s birthday celebration. “Name game” back at home (with Aspen, Fern and others making numerous appearances), and birthday cake and games to finish out the day.

Saturday, most of the group walked down to the Canal Street station. Saw the train arrive, checked out the sparse farmer’s market, then walked a bit up the C&O canal path. Back to the house for lunch (grilled cheese and tomato soup) and games and relaxation directly after.
