We stayed at a large house called Eastover Plantation on the James River which bordered right on the river although on a very tall and steep bank.
We took a vehicle ferry across the James River to land at Jamestown settlement on the other side. We then rode our bikes on the Capital Trail (all macadam). A special meal of the weekend was at the Virginia Diner at Waverly, VA, the “Peanut Capital of the World.”

Malia just a few weeks old. Celebrated Ari’s 3rd birthday. Ayda along as well (Valerie and Justin’s IVEP guest from Colombia). Big house right on the James River. No alcohol allowed.
